Jamie began his career as an illustrator/graphic designer in Wellington. He has since returned home to his roots and now resides in the eastern Bay of Plenty where he is working as a full time artist. "Through my artworks I intend to continue my investigation into better understanding concepts of 'creation' within Maori culture and to visually express those concepts in a way that relates to alternative paradigms and philosophies."
"It is my intention to produce artworks that may act as a universal bridge between cultures and paradigms, to help people to connect and create greater understanding, peace, love and harmony. I wish to express our connectedness to one another and to Papatuanuku, the Earth Mother."
Kia tau te rangimarie.
