Hone Ngata Jr
Better known as DJ Poroufessor, Hone Ngata Jr is one of Aotearoa's premier Maori DJs, as well as being a carver and visual artist.
Hone Ngata Jnr, better known as DJ Poroufessor, is one of Aotearoa's premier hip hop Maori DJs, performing alongside acts such as DJ CRAZE.
Highly respected and sought after as a performer and entertainer, he's the DJ for Maori Television's 2007 award-winning show, CODE. Hone also sits as a member of Toi Maori's Music Committee, Puatatangi.
Lending his talents in a multitude of areas, Hone has been involved in youth development, hip hop education and youth events for many years.
Hone is also a visual artist of note, as a sculptor, carver, grafitti artist and an award-winning illustrator. His artwork ranges from public commissions of contemporary Maori art to popular t-shirt designs.
