There are two levels of opportunity to participate in TE REA 2006. Applications are now open to Maori choreographers, playwrights, directors and performers.

Te Rea 2006

Te Rea 2006

Do you have a concept for a performance work? TE REA is the place to develop it!

Te Ope o Rehua (the contemporary Maori performance arts committee of Toi Maori Aotearoa) is hosting a wananga to develop innovative Maori performance.

The kaupapa of TE REA is to provide a supportive, challenging and stimulating environment to encourage and support new dance and drama initiatives in Aotearoa. TE REA will support:

  • 3 submissions towards the development of new works
  • 12 performers to take part in the wananga

The TE REA - Maori Performance Innovation Wananga will take place from 3 - 14 December 2006 at Te Wananga o Aotearoa Manukau Campus at Mangere in Auckland.

Applications are open now and close on Friday 15 September 2006.
