Internationally renowned storyteller Joe Harawira returns to Northland
On The Bus - Maori Writers Tour will return to Northland from 7 - 11 April 2008.
This is the third visit to Te Tai Tokerau and is eagerly awaited by lovers of korero (storytelling) and literature.
On the Bus will visit schools and communities in Kawakawa, Paihia, Kaikohe, Kerikeri, Moerewa and Whangarei, providing at each venue an entertaining programme of fun, thought-provoking prose and compassionate selections from the writers’ works.
Storyteller Joe Harawira is accompanied on the tour by writers Apirana Taylor, Hinemoana Baker and Kelly Ana Morey. All of the writers are published and in high demand for touring overseas.
Toi Maori Aotearoa are very proud to present such a stellar selection of writers for the 2008 tour.
