Hinemoana Baker
In 2002 she completed a Masters in Creative Writing with Professor Bill Manhire at Victoria University, Wellington. This inspired her first published collection of poetry - Matuhi | Needle. Her popular poem A Walk with Your Father was chosen for 'Best New Zealand Poems 2004'.
In March 2006 at the International Arts Festival and Auckland Arts Festival in 2007, Hinemoana performed with the cream of New Zealand musicians honouring the words of Hone Tuwhare.

Storytelling runs in Joe's extended family. "We come from a very oral tradition. As a small boy I'd go to the marae where the kaumatua (elders), who were all storytellers, would do their whaikōrero (speech-making)."
Previously working as a school teacher, Joe now works as Kaupapa Atawhai Manager in the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation. Joe is an exponent of the Māori language and a strong supporter of all Māori art forms.

Kelly Ana Morey
Kelly’s second novel, Grace is Gone, was published in 2004 and became a finalist in the prestigious Kiriyama Prize. Kelly received the Todd New Writers' Bursary in 2003 and the inaugural Janet Frame Literary Award for Fiction in 2005. Kelly’s latest novel On an island, with consequences dire, was released in February 2007.

His first play Kohanga was voted play of the year by the Dominion and Evening Post. He has taught Drama and Creative Writing at the New Zealand Drama School and Whitireia Polytechnic. Apirana has twice been invited to tour India as a poet and has also travelled throughout Europe.
