Toi Maori enjoys a close working relationship with the Health Sponsorship Council through their Auahi Kore Programme.
Over the past few years, we have developed and strengthened the relationship between our two organisations. As Maori art is inseparable from Maori culture, so too is Maori health. Therefore we believe that together we can promote a positive health message that will equally assist in developing a stronger culture.
Toi Maori aspires to be the organisation of first choice for all matters relating to contemporary Maori art. We are focused on developing the artist and the artform, preserving our cultural identity and heritage, presenting and promoting the artform as well as looking towards the future with Te Anga Hou Mua the New Way Forward.
The Auahi Kore Programme aims to promote the message of Auahi Kore / Smokefree to Maori through many different settings and environments. The Programme looks to support and develop partnerships with organisations, communities and individuals that carry and promote the kaupapa of Auahi Kore.
Toi Maori will continue to promote the message of Auahi Kore through its extensive programme of events and activities.
