Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu presents a comprehensive programme of workshops and performances at the Christchurch Arts Festival, 23 July to 9 August. This year, Ngai Tahu presents two major works - Waharoa:Storybox and Snare/mahanga.

Mahanga / Snare

Part of the Christchurch Arts Festival, Mahanga/Snare is a collection of bird related works by Ngai Tahu artists spanning a diverse range of media. Exhibitors include Ross Hemera, Areta Wilkinson, Te Mairiki Williams, Morehu Flutey-Henare, Jill Kitto, Caine Tauwhare, Reihana Parata, Ariana Tikao and footage from the New Zealand Film Archives. This is a partner exhibition to Snare/Mahanga curated by Helen Kedgley at the Canterbury Museum. 23 July – 13 September 2009 at the Robert McDougall Art Gallery, Christchurch.
