Ngai Tahu, Te Atiawa, Ngati Toarangatira, Ngati Raukawa.
My artistic and creative journey began long before my presence and my time registered here in Aotearoa. My mahi reflects the pathway of our tipuna, their stories, their achievements and their mamae. I believe in order to progress your art, you first need to know, and acknowledge, where we have come from. Take with you, our old people, so to speak.
My art adds to the fabric, first woven, in our glorious past. As such, I find it necessary to record these moments in time, albeit, in an contemporary manner.
