Māori Dance and Drama Innovations Platform

During 7 - 14 November, Te Ope o Rehua will be piloting a workshop-based platform for innovative works with a drama and dance focus. The kaupapa is to provide a supportive and stimulating environment to encourage new and ongoing dance and drama initiatives. The wananga will take place at Waikato University's Te Whare Tapere Nui o Waikato in Hamilton.

This wananga targets both professional and emerging choreographers, dancers, playwrights, actors, musicians and technical production designers and support staff. During the wananga, two choreographers and two playwrights will have the opportunity to develop a body of work using the actors, dancers, musicians and support crew attending.
