The Te Maia Exhibition will be a changing exhibition of the best of contemporary Maori and International Indigenous art - spanning the artforms of sculpture, fibre, painting, and mixed media.

Maori artists from around the country will be represented. The exhibition will also feature artwork by international Indigenous artists, particularly from Canada and the USA.

During the week of Monday 10 - Saturday 15 January, there will be daily floor talks from exhibiting artists as well as a programme of workshops, forums and performances as a part of the Toi Maori Festival.

Te Maia is generously funded by Te Waka Toi Maori arts board of Creative New Zealand and is a co-production between Toi Maori Aotearoa and the Hawke's Bay Cultural Trust.
