The 2007 PIKO event is the fifth event of its kind, featuring an international gathering of Indigenous visual artists, following the first one in Aotearoa in 1995.

In the spirit of its predecessors, PIKO, the navel of the Pacific rim, will be held in Hawai'i in 2007.

The event will begin on June 15th and conclude eight days later on June 22nd. One hundred artists have been invited to attend from around the world, which includes the participation of 20 Maori visual artists.
