Recently returned from acclaimed performances in Russia, Moana and The Tribe lead a line-up of top Maori musicians. The acts include the haunting sounds of taonga puoro (traditional Maori music) from Te Aratoi, jazz and blues from the sensuous Whirimako Black and hip hop with Maori flavours from 4 Corners who have been wowing audiences in Asia.

About PAO PAO PAO

Renowned composer Hirini Melbourne always believed that Maori music and instruments should be celebrated in its widest possible scope. For three years from 2002 to 2004, the University of Waikato hosted PAO PAO PAO, a spectacular celebration of Maori music and performance. In 2007, this will be the third year for the event to be hosted in Wellington.
