Maori Writers Festival, Wellington

The E tuhi! Get writing! Awards for Māori Writers 2003 aim to share our stories that reflect the Māori world and give Māori voices a forum in which to be heard.

Winners (who will receive great prizes) will be announced at an Awards ceremony which will be the premiere event in the Māori Writers Festival to be held in Wellington in the last week of September 2003.

The Festival program includes readings, book launches, a debate and other literary events.

Many finalists in the E tuhi! Get writing! Awards for Māori Writers will have their entries published by Huia Publishers in a collection of writing which will also be launched as a part of the Māori Writers Festival.
