Maori Writers Festival

The E tuhi! Get writing! Awards for Maori Writers 2003 aim to share our stories that reflect the Maori world and give Maori voices a forum in which to be heard.

Winners (who will receive great prizes) will be announced at an Awards ceremony which will be the premiere event in the Maori Writers Festival to be held in Wellington in the last week of September 2003.

The Festival program includes readings, book launches, a debate and other literary events.

Many finalists in the E tuhi! Get writing! Awards for Maori Writers will have their entries published by Huia Publishers in a collection of writing which will also be launched as a part of the Maori Writers Festival.
