Toi Māori Committees
The Toi Māori Aotearoa Board of Trustees draw advice and expertise from the collective of national Māori art form committees.
The national Māori art form Committees were established to review and influence environmental changes to enable Māori artists.
The Committees are committed to the retention of mātauranga Māori including tikanga and values associated with Māori art. The Committee members are supported by broad networks of artists within New Zealand and internationally, which ensures that Toi Māori Aotearoa is connected to iwi and indigenous arts communities globally. Appointment to these committees is by invitation with the exception of Te Roopu Raranga Whatu, which is subject to election by registered members. |
